I’m always on the go, so I usually look for quick bites or make something that is easy, tasty, and speedy! Lately I’ve been experimenting with wraps. The first wrap I made at home was a turkey baloney cheese wrap and it was quick and decent. You can make this for your spouse, or kids’ lunches and eat one for yourself as a light lunch. Read on for the recipe…
Ingredients:
Turkey Baloney (or any turkey meat you have)
Flour tortilla
Blue cheese ranch dressing
Cheese (whichever one tickles your fancy, I used 2 American Cheese singles bc it’s easy)
Lettuce (I used romaine bc it gives a nice crunch)
Cherry tomatoes
Red Onion
Avocado
Black pepper & other spices (I used black pepper.. again goal is to keep it quick & easy)
First, cut the cherry tomatoes in thirds, slice the red onions, and the avocado. Sprinkle lemon juice on top of the avocado and black pepper. Then, on half of the tortilla spread blue cheese ranch dressing. Next, I placed 2 American cheese slices on top (if you have shredded cheese sprinkle it on top last). After that lay the lettuce and on top of the lettuces goes your cherry tomatoes, red onions, and avocado. I love black pepper so I sprinkled a little more of it on top. Afterwards, place the turkey meat. Drizzle a bit more of the blue cheese ranch dressing and wrap it up!!
** Make sure all the ingredients are on one half of the tortilla, otherwise it’ll be hard to wrap.
** After wrapping I put toothpicks on each side of the wrap so I can cut it in half. If you are cutting it in more than halves, I recommend using more toothpicks to avoid unfolding.
Stay tuned for my next wrap recipe 🙂
